Since 2023, NINE15 has partnered with Bauer on a retainer basis to modernize and scale their digital customization experience—implementing immersive 3D configurators across multiple brands owned by Peak Achievement Athletics and creating a future-ready foundation for product innovation.
Peak Achievement Athletics sought to modernize customization across its portfolio brands, including Bauer and Cascade ca. Cascade did not previously offer an online customization experience, while Bauer relied on a more basic configurator that lacked immersive interactivity and scalability. The group needed a unified 3D system that could maintain brand individuality while aligning UX standards, workflows, and performance across companies.
In partnership with VU Custom, NINE15 led the UI skinning, customization workflows, and frontend implementation of a next-generation 3D configurator experience.
The initiative began with Cascade, where we launched their first immersive 3D helmet customization tool—establishing a scalable design system and UX foundation. Building on that success, Bauer engaged NINE15 to migrate its skates and additional customizable products to the VU Custom platform.
We transitioned products incrementally, ensuring brand consistency, performance optimization, and seamless rollout across multiple SKUs. Since 2023, the partnership has continued on a retainer basis, supporting enhancements, new product launches, and platform refinements.
The project resulted in a unified 3D customization ecosystem across Bauer and Cascade maverik. Customers now experience immersive, interactive product personalization aligned with each brand’s identity while operating on a shared scalable framework.
